Gerald is 19 years old and has been part of Ruwa's family since she was 10. It’s been an amazing journey together getting to the point that this year she has been leading the youth group to a new level.
She has been able to mobilize more than 50 youth from Manchay to motivate them to go each Sunday and receive different workshops of our program. She has also been able to manage difficult situations and give positive advise to the younger ones.
She and other 45 youth have received over 40 hours of training in Ruwa skills development (humble leadership, effective communication, creativity, change management, meaningful collaboration, empathy and entrepreneurial attitude).
One of our main focus was to help them to discover their own life project. It is characterized by young people from vulnerable communities, it is the dispersion when focusing on their life trajectory and the search for motivation and clarity that allows them to break the circle of the poverty in which they grew up. Each of them will leave at the end of the program with a plan of life armed and reflected by themselves.
Gerald has a clear path now, she knows she wants to help people through her career, psychology and have a social impact with young people from vulnerable places.
We invite you to contact us any time, Gerald would love to meet you and keep growing through conversations and inspiration. ¡Thank you for being part of our lifes!
Our impact in numbers
