Estimados patrocinadores

At the end of June, we visited La Guajira to monitor the project and make the necessary changes. We have seen that the production of backpacks has helped a lot in the development of the community, however, we hope to start a new chapter in the history of the communities. In today’s world, commerce has moved to the online world, so we are planning new courses on craft entrepreneurship as an addition to our in-company backpacking training to a government educational entity called SENA. It is very important that leaders and the community learn to create an independent product for future generations.

In addition, we made the purchase and collection of some backpacks manufactured by the communities. We also scheduled a meeting with SENA to schedule training for community weavers; however, this was not possible because Colombia was in the process of presidential elections. We are waiting to meet them again.

During our last visit, we also delivered markets to families in the communities to continue contributing positively to strategies related to food security.

Finally, we are moving towards more independent communities, as we told you some reports ago, we started an agricultural part of the project, and we continue to see the results. Each community now has a pot of vegetables to grow their food and is slowly achieving food security. We look forward to our best efforts to continue this project for the rest of 2022 with the help of our sponsors.
