Cerrando el ciclo
Durante este semestre tuvimos dos ciclos de CODAMO (Consejería y Danza Movimiento Terapia) con la participación de niños de entre 6 a 9 años en uno y con madres en otro. Los niños trabajaron aspectos de desarrollo de inteligencia emocional, a través de ejercicios de movimiento e intervenciones con la consejera. Para las madres, fue un espacio de pausa en medio del estrés diario y tomar un tiempo para sí mismas. También de aprender técnicas efectivas para manejar conductas de los niños. Estos encuentros se realizaron de forma virtual cada sábado desde octubre hasta diciembre. Fue una experiencia muy bonita y de mucho crecimiento para todos.
Para continuar desarrollando el tema de la inteligencia emocional, nuestra terapeuta de Danza Movimiento Terapia, Hecbel Rodríguez, preparó un video con tips sencillos para ayudar a los padres, madres y cuidadores a ser emocionalmente inteligentes. El mismo se puede ver en nuestra página de Facebook. También realizó un taller por la plataforma ZOOM, llamado “Baile e Inteligencia Emocional”. En el mismo, los participantes pudieron explorar cómo técnicas sencillas de baile y movimiento pueden ayudarnos a desarrollar este aspecto de nuestro ser, particularmente con los niños.
La musicoterapia es parte de las terapias artístico creativas y en Casa sin Fronteras utilizamos este recurso para desarrollar al máximo a nuestros niños. Por este motivo llevamos a cabo un taller virtual por la plataforma ZOOM titulado “El efecto de la música en los niños”. Junto con la músicoterapeuta, los participantes aprendieron lo que es el efecto Mozart, exploraron diferentes géneros musicales y practicaron diferentes actividades que pueden realizar involucrando la música.
Para culminar este semestre, estamos muy orgullosos de nuestro equipo de trabajo de CODAMO, la consejera Lariana García Acabá y la Terapeuta de Danza Movimiento Terapia Hecbel Rodríguez, quienes tuvieron el honor de realizar una presentación ante la Convención de Consejeros Profesionales de Puerto Rico, hablando sobre la integración de estas dos disciplinas y los logros de este programa.
Continuamos ofreciendo los servicios de sicología y consejería individual y familiar por cita previa, de forma presencial y virtual, disponibles para todos en la comunidad.
Closing this cycle
During this semester we had two cycles of CODAMO (Counseling and Dance Movement Therapy) with the participation of children between 6 and 9 years old in one and with mothers in another. The children worked on aspects of emotional intelligence development, through movement exercises and interventions with the counselor. For mothers, it was a space of pause amid daily stress and taking time for themselves. Also, to learn effective techniques to manage children's behaviors. These meetings were held virtually every Saturday from October to December. It was a very beautiful experience and a lot of growth for everyone.
To continue developing the topic of emotional intelligence, our Dance Movement therapist, Hecbel Rodríguez, prepared a video with simple tips to help parents and caregivers to be emotionally intelligent. It can be seen on our Facebook page. He also held a workshop on the ZOOM platform, called "Dance and Emotional Intelligence". In it, participants were able to explore how simple dance and movement techniques can help us develop this aspect of our being, particularly with children.
Music therapy is part of the creative artistic therapies and at Casa sin Fronteras we use this resource to develop our children to the fullest. For this reason, we had a virtual workshop on ZOOM platform entitled "The effect of music on children". Together with the music therapist, the participants learned what the Mozart effect is, explored different musical genres and practiced different activities that they can perform involving music.
To culminate this semester, we are very proud of our CODAMO team, counselor Lariana García Acabá and Dance Movement Therapist Hecbel Rodríguez, who had the honor of making a presentation before the Convention of Professional Counselors of Puerto Rico, talking about the integration of these two disciplines and the achievements of this program.
We continue to offer individual and family psychology and counseling services by appointment, in person and virtually, available to everyone in the community.
