Rwanda-one4one proudly continues its mission of transforming lives through access to education for children in Rwanda. Thanks to your generosity, we continue to support 19 students throughout the academic year—10 girls and 9 boys—ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
This year, 9 students were enrolled in grades K through 5, and 10 students attended grades 6 through 12. We’re thrilled to share that academic performance remains strong across the board. Rwanda’s grading system considers 80% as the top tier, and among our students:
6 earned scores above 70%,
9 were above 60%,
and 4 achieved scores above 50%.
These results reflect not only the students' hard work but also the powerful impact of consistent support and encouragement from our community of donors.
We’re also proud to share an update on one of our former students, Ephraim, who recently aged out of our K-12 program and has now begun university studies. While no longer part of our core education program, we remain committed to his success. He struggled to access food while attending classes, sometimes going the entire day without eating. Thanks to your donations, we’re now covering the cost of his meals so he can focus fully on his studies and build a future without the burden of hunger. His resilience and determination are inspiring, and we are honored to continue walking alongside him on his journey.
We’re also excited to welcome Anne Winterich, our newest board member, who brings both passion and experience to our growing team. Anne, a dedicated teacher from California, traveled to Rwanda with our founder and board chair two years ago, where she met many of the families we serve. The trip left a deep and lasting impression on her, and she felt compelled to support our mission in a greater capacity. As a board member, Anne will help broaden our network and raise awareness for the work we're doing on the ground in Rwanda. We’re grateful for her heart, her commitment to education, and her belief in the power of community to change lives.
As always, Rwanda-one4one remains committed to our mission: to provide access to quality education, empowering Rwandan youth with the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to build a brighter future.
Looking ahead in 2025, we are actively seeking to expand our reach and welcome more children into our program. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive—regardless of their circumstances.
Each student’s journey is a testament to what your support makes possible. Their families are deeply grateful, and we are too. With your continued generosity, we will keep walking alongside these students, celebrating their successes and helping them rise to their full potential.
Thank you for lighting the path forward.
With gratitude,
The Rwanda-one4one Team
