With funding support from over 100 individuals and corporate donors, the Centre for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) has continued to implement its initiative to empower 1000 rape victims and widows with integrated peacebuilding skills in the North Eastern region of Nigeria. The project has recently completed the renovation of a skills acquisition centre in Jimeta/Yola.
The psycho-social support training has targeted one hundred widows and rape victims, and we hope to target one thousand recipients at the end of the first phase of this program. As reported earlier, fifteen women and girls are presently undergoing the tailoring training and your continuous support is ensuring that the training is sustained. CSDEA has also leased a land for some of the recipients to rear cattle and we are looking to raise more funds to commence full operation.
More details will follow soon and we once again call on all supporters of this project to help donate to reach our target. We are behind in fundraising for this project and your further donations will help ensure that we put smiles on the faces of these girls and women, and give them a reason to live! Please also encourage your friends and families that can donate to support this project so we can meet our fundraising target.
Thank you always for your support!
