Empower Women in Pakistan with Vocational Skills

Dear HOPE Friends,

2024 Ends and 2025 Launches with a HOPE Field Trip to Azad Kashmir - Featuring Jehlum Valley

By the Grace of God, we concluded an eventful 2024 and leaped into 2025 on a promising and hopeful note!

The HOPE Field Team is currently in the Northern Areas of Pakistan visiting our Home Schools and Maternal and Child ‍ Health Centers in these regions. As always, included in our efforts and a mainstay feature of these trips is to distribute winter gear (jackets , sweaters , jeans ), school supplies , blankets , along with food to underserved children and adults in these communities.

Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing a variety of updates with regards to this fruitful trip .

The pictures below feature our recent visit to three of our Home Schools in Jehlum Valley, Azad Kashmir : Parhor Home School, Habib Dori Home School, and Dhani Bakala Home School. It is difficult to understate the remoteness of this region and how difficult it is to access areas due to the rough terrain in the Northern Areas. These villages are approximately 25 miles from Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, but can only be traversed by a vehicle up to a certain point. From there, the one hour trek to the top must be on foot‍as the roads are not accessible by vehicles.

HOPE operates a network of 40 Home Schools across Azad Kashmir which provide a quality education to underserved children in these remote mountaintop regions. Altogether, our Home School network across Pakistan caters to 9,000 underprivileged students, 2,000 of whom reside in Azad Kashmir .

During this journey, we were kindly accompanied by Jehlum Valley, Azad Kashmir Councilor, Syed Jawad Hussain Hamdani, and a gracious supporter behind our progress in Azad Kashmir. We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Councilor Hamdani for his support and loyalty and the entire Azad Kashmir team's collaboration for over ten years.

Among our other special guests was Mr. Sadiq who had come from Karachi along with his family to share in the blessings of giving to those less fortunate. As always, we are honored when guests take time out of their busy schedules to travel long distances in order to instill in their children the value of charity ‍.

Much gratitude and appreciation to our supporters for helping us secure the building blocks for working towards poverty alleviation throughout Pakistan .

HOPE 2024 Recap Video

Through the Grace and Mercy of God, the backing and support of our loyal followers, and our partnerships with a multitude of generous organizations, we are extremely humbled to share with you our 2024 Recap. This year we surpassed a record-breaking 1,000,000 beneficiaries total, 70% of whom are women ‍and children in need.

As part of a comprehensive poverty alleviation model, our work spans an array of multi-pronged and calculated efforts to break the cycle of poverty ‍.

HOPE 2024 Accomplishments:

Healthcare:

• Yusuf Foundation Debuts 24/7 Operations for Four MCHCs in the Northern Areas to Benefit 200,000 Villagers Annually.

   

• HOPE Launches its 11th MCHC in Chakhama with the Support of the Azad Kashmir Department of Health to Serve 10,000 Villagers Per Year

   

• HOPE Renews Village Healthcare with Asia Petroleum to Support 80,000 Beneficiaries Annually

   

• 900,000 Total Needy People were Provided Free Healthcare in 2024 in Our Health Facilities in Pakistan

Education:

• 11,000 Disadvantaged Students from Urban Slum Areas and Villages Successfully Complete ‍ Another School Year

   

• 3,000+ Underserved Women and Children Receive Food , Medical Aid , Winter Gear , School Supplies , Blankets in Azad Kashmir

   

• HOPE Debuts a New Home School for 50 Underserved Children in Azad Kashmir on behalf of KIREA

   

• Target and FDI World Dental Federation Host Outreach Efforts for Zia Colony Students and Community

Vocational Training :

• 6,000 Adults Receive Income-Generating Vocational Training ‍ in 2024 - Computer Languages, Sewing, and ESL

Clean Water :

• HOPE Field Team Distributes P&G Clean Water Bundles to Villagers and Promotes Hygiene Efforts to Benefit 5,000

Food Security :

• HOPE Field Team Distributes Food to 5,000 Underserved People Outside of Ramadan

   

Disaster Relief :

• HOPE Joins Forces with Revive Environment and GlobalGiving to Bring Green Stoves to 480,000 Flood Affectees Following the 2022 Pakistan Flood Crisis

Ramadan Outreach :

• Food Rations : 2,000 Families Total - Asia Petroleum, Darul Sadaqa786, US Med Labs, and Private Donors

   

• Door-to-Door Iftars : 10,000 Needy People Served Total - Crypto Zakat and Private Donors

   

• Sit-Down Community Iftars : 3,000 Children and Adults Served - Standard Chartered, Iffco, Roots Millennium, NED University

   

• New Eid Clothes :: 2,000 Zakat-Eligible Children Gifted New Eid Clothes - Ehsaas Trust and Private Donors

Qurbani :

• 15,000 Needy People Received Qurbani Meat (from the Deserts of the South to the Mountains of the North)
