Blue Schools reached over 300 students across the United States last year. Now, our team is undergoing a big push to get Blue Schools in front of teachers and school districts around the U.S. Without our Blue Schools educators like K-12 public and private school teachers, homeschooling parents and groups, and youth organization leaders, our watershed and ocean stewardship education program wouldn't be able to reach our goal 17,000 students. Thank you for helping get us one step closer.
Keep an eye out on the Blue Schools tab of our website to see upcoming changes. You'll soon see an improved description of the program along with an application to receive Blue Schools for free in your classroom. Grant funding covers the costs of Blue Schools for Title 1 school classrooms. Reach out with questions about participating in Blue Schools at education@oceanblueproject.org.
I look forward to following up with you this fall with our 2021-22 Blue Schools Participant announcement. Soon, I'll be able to share with you the impact you are helping to make for watersheds through student and community Stewardship Action Projects, as well as the number of students you are helping to reach with our pollution prevention, watershed and ocean STEAM Curriculum.
Thank you for your support and for sharing our vision of a clean world ocean.
Warm regards,
Karisa Arterbury
