THE ERP PROJECT WORK IS ON HOLD FOR THE TIME BEING
Though from July 2020 in the unlocking phase, the basic elementary economic activities have been resumed with the government’s prescribed operational guidelines and protocols, which makes it difficult for common people as most do not have means and access to resume their livelihood activities within the set guideline frameworks.
Covid19 cases have not been significantly fallen which all left people with fear, confusion, and lessor opportunities and means to resume back to the normal.
Our Empowering Rural Women project has also been hugely affected by Covid 19 and subsequent nationwide lockdown. The project activities remained on hold since March 2020 which adversely affected the livelihood status of targeted rural women.
The project team has been in continuous contact with them with regular follow-ups and sharing of covid19 preventive information, measures, and guidelines. Currently, due to imposed restrictions and in absence of public transportation the rural women are unable to come over to the Spice and cereal processing unit at Gurugram.
We are planning and strategizing, hopefully, all of them would resume back to the work as soon as the situation normalizes and public transportation system puts into place. Meanwhile, we also are exploring the possibilities and checking out the feasibility to provide them home-based assignments temporarily.
