“How did the giving campign go?”
Six Seconds recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, for most of that time we have been a self-funded non-profit organization through our certification services and assessment tools. We are just begining our efforts in crowdfunding, grant making and partnerships. We are excited with our progress developing a culture of giving.
In 2022 with your help we raised $27,465 raised from 110 donations and earned over $7k in bonus funding.

“Are we making an impact in our road towards 1B people practicing?”
Meet Jennifer Mitchell, an Educator, Instructional Coach and Network Leader in Phoenix AZ.
Jennifer and Six Seconds are old friends. Back in 2013 she was one of the 35 Clinical Professors at Arizona State University trained by Six Seconds back in a project to bring EQ to pre-service teachers. They each had 40+ preservice teachers in 32 local valley wide school districts with student teaching. For 6 years, Jennifer coached mentor teachers on how to best support student teachers as they implemented EQ into content lessons in K-8 classrooms.
Let’s do the math on that impact: 35 professors x 40 student teachers x 6 years.
That’s 8,400 teachers trained with EQ and supporting student’s emotional wellbeing!
We asked Jennifer about her best experience working with teachers and students:
“My greatest impact I have had so far would be teaching emotional intelligence to teachers in the classroom! I believe that a teacher who practices EQ in their personal and professional lives will stay in the classroom, with less burnout, and create a culture that builds each year into a new group of kids. That in turn continues to spread throughout the world."
