In the fall semester of 2019, our Videolink Program, in which we organize volunteers to teach English lessons to rural children in disadvantaged areas of China, continued to grow. While still working with our height partner schools in Shanghai, Anhui, Yunnan, Henan and Hunan, we also opened two new sites - one in Yunnan (Gengma county) and one in Shanghai (Songjiang district) -, taking our total number of schools to ten.
Our new program in Yunnan was launched with the support and assistance from Gengma County Bureau of Civil Affairs, Gengma County Bureau of Education, and Gengma Yijia Youth Affairs Social Work Service Centre. Different from our previous experiences, the children in this program have never had English classes in the pass. Despite this, they are very proactive in our classes and keen to follow the teacher instructions and do the activities.

We currently have more than 80 trained volunteers mainly based in Asia and America who are teaching regular English classes via the internet to more than 1,000 children. Our volunteers are all using our newly-developed interactive PPTs. Volunteers and children are having a great time with English learning activities!
Thank you all for your support!
