By Michelle Frances Uy | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project providing on-farm livelihoods for girls. Girls in the rural areas sometimes have free time which is not used productively and this often leads to gossiping and gallivanting. We introduced vegetable gardening to them and using their own resources with our inputs comprising already grown vegetable seedlings. We found out that when we provided them with vegetable seeds, the seeds are too tiny and planting them is difficult. There is also technology how to grow seeds with high rate of germintation. We were able to provide seeds comprising ladys fingers, tomato, eggplant, radish, cabbage and bittergourd to 20 participants in this manner. This will be pilot test which we plan to replicate when we are successful.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle
