Dear Supporters,
It's summer in Busia County, Kenya and students will be returning to school on January 23 as a new planting season begins. Fields for Greens is active at eight schools. Your support has provided seeds, fertilizer and instruction in organic gardening techniques. Students have benefitted from school lunches with the inclusion of fresh produce such as African kale. School lunch is often the most nutritious meal of the day for many students. Records show that providing lunch increases school attendance and academic performance.
Grow Against Poverty has been asked by several schools to join the Fields for Greens program. We hope to add two more schools in 2023.
Thanks again for donating to this project.
Regards,
John Roccanova
