"I help because I can" - that was the sign on a hood of car which delivered aid to the flood victims.
In September, 10 wonderful young people set off from Konin to Radochów, Ladek Zdrój and Stronie Slaskie to help remove the effects of the disastrous flood which struck Poland this year.
Thanks to the support of GlobalGiving, we were able to purchase necessary equipment and materials needed on site of the biggest damage, to help the victims, who often lost their entire life's work, but fortunately, managed to save their lives.
Our reference point was a list of items from a local priest, who knew exactly who needed what. In addition to basic aid such as food, water, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and equipment, the transport included gas stoves and medicines.
We thank you for your support, which is still needed and will be needed for many, many months to come.
