Due the environmental emergency that occurred in the area due the rains and the Cauca River’s overflow, where the community was widely affected by severe flooding, CorpoAyapel gathered aid from different entities with the aim supporting the community during the floods.
Help reached the community through two fronts, the first through humanitarian kits that were delivered to the most remote and vulnerable communities. These Humanitarian kits were made up of markets, clothing, toiletries, blankets and mats.
800 humanitarian kits were delivered, generating an impact on 4,750 people approximately.
The second front took place at the Colegio San Marcos’ shelter where there were 24 families with 120 people who were accompanied by CorpoAyapel with psychosocial support through recreational activities in the months of October, November and December. Additionally, this community also benefited from aid with the most needy elements such as mats.
