Challenge

Farmers are becoming poorer everyday and the reasons is the lack of technical know-how on advanced farming technologies and the lack of pump-priming inputs for the farmers. If this is provided, the farmers will be able to improve their food security and incomes and thereby improving their way of life. We will provide these menu of support to 5 farmers so that they become models and source of technical knowledge in their village.

Solution

Farmers are oftentimes left to fend for themselves and without the much-needed support, the cycle of poverty is ever-present from generation to generation. The need to provide menu of support comprising technical training, provision of farming inputs and market intelligence is the key to the improvement of the lives of our farmers. We will provide these in a targeted and focused way so that no resources is wasted.

Long-Term Impact

The development of a village takes time and we will start this with very basic and simple approach of improving food supply in the home for the needs of the family with the surplus going to local markets. In this way we help develop vibrant and progressive local communities, with healthy and responsive citizens. Your help in our advocacy is very much-needed.
