We focus our work at Educate a Girl on the basic or vocational education of deserving girls. We believe that by educating a girl, you enable her to get as well as understand the opportunities that come her way. It's proven that girls give back to their families and communities so there is a positive chain reaction effect.
This project, however, is very special because it's the first time we are not fundraising to purely educate girls, but celebrate those that achieve. When we celebrate success and achievement, it inspires others to strive to do better and to know what's in store for them when they succeed. It also reinforces the motivation of the recipients.
These gold medals are especially for the girls who have placed first place in university. There is one for each subject! Without your funds, they cannot get the keepsake gold medal and ceremony although their name will be called as a winner. Please help us to help ensure their hard work is recognized and noticed by their community, their families and job prospects.
Please end the year by celebrating a girl. Donate just $10 or $100, and tell a friend to as well. What better way to end 2018 and begin 2019?
Thank you!
