Dear supporters,
As COVID-19 continues to impact some of the most vulnerable communities in our country, “Give education to 60 vulnerable Roma children” is making great strides towards ensuring students have access to education and chance for better future.
Thanks to donations on GlobalGiving in the previous quarter, we were able to expend the number of vulnerable children participating in our program for preschool and school education, for 9 new children. Donations help us to provide additional after school support, nutrition snacks for the children during their stay in our Centre and advisory support for the parents.
Bringing the joy of learning to our students is a result of donors like you who are providing financial support that helps us offer these learning activities.
Despite the challenging times and limited learning conditions for vulnerable children in our community during the pandemic, like distance learning, having no internet access, inadequate facilities; all the children visiting our Centre during this last year managed to progress to the next level, thanks to their participation in the ongoing activities at our Centre.
Our youngest (5-6 years old) participants have managed to meet the standard for school enrolment, during the examination procedures in May, and are starting elementary school from September. We are so proud of them!
These students are achieving because of donors and supporters like you who make our work possible.
What is next…
Children are preparing for the start of the next school year from September and hoping that they can return to their classrooms with physical presence. Providing the necessary school supplies for them, so they could have an equal star of the school year with their classmates is our priority in the next quarter.
We recognize that, particularly this year there is enormous need around the globe and that many of our supporters are experiencing their own hardships. For that reason, we are especially grateful to each of you for your generosity and support!
