2020 Here we come!

Dear Supporters,

A happy new year to everyone!

It was an incredibly satisfying end to the year, working with our partners in Nepal. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, they were able to accept a $3900 from the GVI Trust to help tackle poverty through renewable energy.

The GVI Trust and our partners in Nepal are contributing to UNSDG #7, Affordable and Clean Energy, by upgrading technology to provide clean and more efficient energy.

These funds will be used to help remote communities in the Surkhet District access the benefits of solar power. This includes solar powered flood warning, energy-enabled health provision and access to solar energy. The end goal of the project is to improve livelihoods for families and the community at large through access to clean energy. Our partners have already helped over 3500 people with access to flood warning and energy enabled health care in its first year. What an achievement!

Our project expects to reach a further 2000 vulnerable people in two isolated communities in Surkhurt. Through this project in the coming year and we eagerly await to see the progress during 2020. We will keep you posted.
