Hello Friends,
We've had a slightly slower fundraising quarter in April, May and June, but our partners in Nairobi continue to do magnificent work on plastic removal from the rivers, and training the local community and youth groups in restoring and managing the riverside environment, recycling, gardening and growing food and making crafts. The schools education programme on recycling and clearing local land where children play of plastic waste is also forging ahead.
Previous donations have been invested in supporting the community groups, and especially on training women's groups to transform the plastic waste gathered from the rivers into beautiful craft items which are sold locally. They would all like to thank you for your generous support in the past.
So, as ever, if you'd like to share the link to this project with family and friends, we and the riverside communities in Nairobi would be very grateful.
Many thanks until the next time
Bernie
