The long term impact of this project is to reduce the mortality rate of women with cervical cancer. The goal is to raise $1,000,000 for the construction of a Brachytherapy Unit which will aid in achieving the long term impact of this project. With a Brachytherapy Unit, the radiation source is placed on or close to the tumour for maximum dose to the tumour cells and minimal damage to the normal cells. The project tagged "One Million African Women" is an initiative where every woman in the world collectively works together towards the success of this project.
However, we have only been able to raise $100 of the total project cost of $1,000,000. This is only a fraction of the total project cost and shows we still have miles to cover in ensuring the elimination of cervical cancer in low and middle income countries like Nigeria by 2030 which is in line with the WHO's SDGs.
With our collective effort, this goal can be achieved.
We do hope to get more donations from the community. Help push this cause by making donations and sharing with family and friends. May the ALMIGHTY continue to bless you in all you do.
Thank you.
