Healthcare for 2000 Rural Villagers in Myanmar

Dear friend,

Thanks to your ongoing support in 2025, our Mobile Clinics in Kawthaung District, Myanmar, have continued to deliver essential healthcare to remote and underserved communities. Between January and April, our two dedicated medical teams provided general medical care to 564 patients, including 407 women, across 10 villages—some of them only reachable by boat or on challenging terrain.

Your contributions have directly supported a wide range of vital services, including general consultations, antenatal and postnatal care, vaccinations, chronic disease follow-ups, laboratory diagnostics, and the distribution of 85 Clean Delivery Kits to expectant mothers. These efforts are especially important in rural areas where access to maternity care remains extremely limited.

Every week, our teams—composed of doctors, nurses, nurse aides, and supported by community health volunteers—travel on a set schedule and rotational basis to reach even the most isolated villages, including the islands of Ma Kyone Galat and War Kyune. We work tirelessly to ensure continuity of care, from blood and urine tests to referrals with logistical and financial support, thanks to the help of our local networks and partners.

As we look ahead to the rest of 2025, our mission is clear: to strengthen and expand maternity and newborn care for women in rural Myanmar, ensuring that no mother is left without support during one of the most critical moments of her life.
