''My class grades used to be so poor that at some point I wanted to abandon education because other children could laugh at me and call me a dull yet my poor performance was because every month I would be absent from school for upto 7 days during my menstruation periods since I would fear to be in school as I was not able to afford enough pads to keep changing while at school''. Jennifer who is not Primary Six despite her age qualifies her to be in Secondary education by now if it was not for the death of her father back in South Sudan and her mother being so poor that she could not support her in school, hopes to become a medical Doctor so that she can go back to Souiith Sudan to support many South Sudanese people who are suffering without adquate medical care and trained medical personnel.
#vfhuganda has been working in Boroli Primary School providing sanitary pads and menstrual health education to girls like Jennifer on monthly basis to ensure they do not miss on their school days or drop out of school all together due to lack of sanitary kits. Being a disadvantaged girl who could not meet other school requirements, #vfhuganda also supported Jennifer with one sheep which has now multiplied to 4 sheep. Jennifer is now assured of source of money to meet her other school and home needs besides being assured of sanitary kits while at school. Surely the sky is the limit for Jennifer and many other girls like her that #vfhuganda supports thanks to generous donations from compassionate donors like you. We are grateful for your generosity that is helping us support young refugee girls like Jennifer to achieve their dreams and become great future leaders of South Sudan.
