Climate Change has made it hard but NGO is trying

After School Programme for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (ASPOVC) is a charitable non-profit run exclusively by volunteers registered under the Ministry of Health and Social Services as Welfare Organization in terms of Section 19 of the National Welfare Act, 1965 (Act 79 of 1965), as amended. We work together with international and local partners on collaborative children’s development projects.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

  • Started in 2023, the project aims to provide basic safety education to vulnerable children and youth, engaged them with essential entrepreneurial skills from an early stage.
  • It envisioned to empower next generation to develop business acumen and help them with a start-up capital and offers a comprehensive curriculum and practical workshops designed to introduce children to the world of entrepreneurship, laying the foundation for future success.

 

Long-Term Impact

  • The project had establish partnership with local institutions, government agencies and relevant stakeholders for prolonged activities.
  • Follow on activities include mentorship and advocacy for  young entrepreneurs who will take their training further into practice.
