Hello Friends of the Hogar Santa Ana:
Happy New Year!! We thought that by now, we would be rid of COVID, but no such luck. Omnicron and Delta are going very strong in Argentina. Some of our ladies received their third shot, and the rest are waiting for it, so we are starting to get used to it. We did have a complicated week, though, because one of our cooks got COVID, and the whole team had to stay home. Luckily, Karina, our 2nd in command was on holiday, and she was able to come back and take charge. Thank you Karina!
We had the Zambrano foundation that came to the home and checked the eyesight of our ladies, and provided glasses to all those that needed them. It made a big difference for them (and for us!), because we have not got the funds to purchase glasses for the 52 ladies. Thank you Zambrano foundation!!
And we finished the year with our traditional gathering. Everybody had a great time, and we even had a folklore music recital to cap the celebration luncheon.
More news to follow in a couple of months. Thank you to all of you that support us on an ongoing basis.
Regards,
María
