After 7 months of his treatment at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), and with everyone’s support through CCCL UK and GlobalGiving UK, Boudy now 8 years 9 months old, is still undergoing his treatment with lots of hope, strength and persistence to beat cancer.
Currently in the maintenance phase of his treatment, Boudy still has 3 years to end his fight against Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL).
Our hero visits the center once a week to take his medication. He comes to the center from North Lebanon, a 3-hour drive, accompanied by his neighbor Hanane who is also a patient at the CCCL. Boudy and Hanane have always been there for each other throughout this journey. Even while taking their treatments, they hold each other’s hands trying to minimize the pain and offer as much support as possible.
Whenever you pass by the CCCL’s outpatient facility, you see Boudy and Hanane playing, singing, dancing and enjoying their time together as if they are home. Indeed, CCCL becomes their second home: a place where they share a lot of good memories and mixed emotions. Their presence at the center always spreads positivity around them; everyone at the center loves them and enjoys their company. Boudy considers Hanane as his sister and fellow trooper.
Keep on giving hope and help us fulfill Boudy, Hanane and other patients' dream of a healthy tomorrow.
