Thanks to your generosity, Global Water Challenge (GWC) and women for water are able to support DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project. Together, we are installing Home Water Systems for families in the Navajo Nation who previously lacked the sinks, bathtubs or toilets that the rest of us take for granted.
By providing sustainable water to these communities, this high-impact partnership is transforming the lives of so many, like Joshlyn, who has never had running water. Before receiving her Home Water System, the only way she had water to wash dishes, do laundry and bathe was by hauling it from family members’ homes.
Joshlyn now has running water and couldn’t be more excited! The first thing she did was take a nice shower. She anticipates spending her newfound free time working on home repairs. Any money she saves no longer having to haul or purchase water, Joshlyn wishes to spend on medical bills.
GWC and DigDeep are happy to share her gratitude with you. Joshlyn and her family want you to know that they are deeply thankful for your donation and hope you continue to help others.
Follow women for water’s journey to empower women and girls across 10,000 communities with access to WASH and life skills programs by 2030 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! You can also learn more about DigDeep’s work here.
