Thanks to your generosity, Global Water Challenge and women for water are able to support DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project. Together, we are installing Home Water Systems for nine families across the Navajo Nation, particularly in New Mexico, to reach approximately 36 people with clean water access.
By providing sustainable water to these communities, this high-impact partnership is transforming the lives of so many in the Navajo Nation, like Melvina, whose home previously did not have running water. Now that Melvina has running water, she plans to use the money that she can now save on water to pay her other bills and apply the time she used to spend retrieving water cooking, cleaning, and keeping up her house.
Having access to safe, running water has changed Melvina’s life, making it significantly easier for her to do things around her house. GWC and DigDeep also express Melvina’s gratitude passing along her recent sentiments, “without your donations I would not have running water.”
Follow women for water’s journey to empower women and girls across 10,000 communities with access to WASH and life skills programs by 2030 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! You can also see DigDeep’s impact here.
