Thanks to your generosity, Global Water Challenge (GWC) and women for water are able to support DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project. Together, we are installing Home Water Systems for families in the Navajo Nation who previously lacked the sinks, bathtubs or toilets that are often taken for granted.
By providing sustainable water access to these communities, this high-impact partnership is transforming the lives of so many, like Natasha, who lived in her home without running water for a year.
Natasha used to rely on filling up buckets for her water supply. With her newly installed home water system, Natasha is excited to just be able to turn on her tap after a long day. She will no longer have to haul heavy buckets of water in order to take a shower, have a drink of water, cook or even clean around her house.
Natasha is looking forward to putting the money she would have spent on water towards getting electricity for her home. She is also excited to spend her newfound time painting and watching football.
GWC and DigDeep also express Natasha’s gratitude by passing along her recent sentiments, “Anybody willing to help when I’m struggling [is a hero]. Especially when I have nobody – help is appreciated and hard to find.”
Thanks to your continued support, we will be able to provide more Navajo families clean water access for years to come!
