The goal of our project is to support 500 patients with rare diseases in Romania, providing them with the support to face their daily challenges through face to face and online medical consultation, therapies, counseling and psychological support for patients and families at NoRo Center and NoRo Center online services: www.centrulnoro.ro.
We have continued to provided online training courses on case management for rare diseases for community nurses in order to bridge the gaps between medical and social services and orient patients to the services they need. We celebrated the 10 years anniversery of the center together on 28th June and organized an international conference on integrated care and an open gate event at the center where we peomoted the art craft that our beneficiaries produced during our activities.
With the amount that we raised we could offer support for 10 families. From May 2021 we have improved our services by introducing a new accreditated day care service for young people with rare disabilities, providing therapies and life skills for young people and social and psycholgical counseling for their personall assistants that join them at the center. 10 families have been consulted by the interdisciplinary team and have been offered nutrition counseling and coaching to change their life style in order to better support their child. Also, 60 parents have participated in online training on healthy life style.
