An update on the Juke WASH project, Sindhuli

By Pradeep Baral | Project Leader

Dear friends,

Greetings from NEWAH. We hope your new year is off to a great start.

We would like to begin by thanking you for supporting the Juke drinking water supply, sanitation, and hygiene improvement project. It has been four months since we started fundraising for the project through GlobalGiving.org. The response we have received from supporters like you has been phenomenal. You have donated more than $ 10,000 for the project, which is over 20% of the total project cost. NEWAH and the people from the community are grateful to you.

While we remain optimistic that we will be able to raise the total project cost, the community (including the school students) continue to endure the hardship from lack of safe and accessible drinking water. To address the urgency of the matter, NEWAH requested its donor to fund the remaining amount for the project, and the donor has agreed to do so. The project is set to start from February 2021 and is expected to be completed by July 2021. We will continue updating the progress through the GlobalGiving project page, and when the project is complete, we will post a detailed project report including project financials, pictures, and testimonials and put an end to the fundraising.

The past four months of fundraising through GlobalGiving has been very encouraging to us. We will continue to seek your support for our future projects. Please feel free to contact us through email at pradeep.baral@newah.org.np if you have any further questions related to the project.

Lastly, thank you again for supporting the project. We wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous year ahead. We will be back next month with a project progress report.

With gratitude,

Nepal Water for Health
