This is an update to first thank you for your generosity and how much it has helped us continue our support to those deeply affected by the Covid 19 crisis. Since 2020, Karuna has been organizing emergency relief to respond to the most urgent needs of the most vulnerable communities. Donations have been used to provide vital food and medical supplies directly to approximately 1,000 people from Covid-affected families.
Our partners, with their already well-established networks in the most vulnerable communities, were able to ensure that aid reached those most in need. Now we are trying to help people rebuild their lives, which were completely destroyed by the effects of Covid-19.
Thanks to your help, we were able to raise vital funds in 2020-22, and they remain as important and urgent today as ever. Right now, Covid case numbers in India are rising again, and the poorest fear it's all starting over again.
The heart of our work is to support people for greater equality, social participation and decent livelihoods. We have adapted to the changing landscape of the pandemic and know how to effectively help those who need it most.
Thank you for your support for people who are among the most disadvantaged in the world.
