This project supported tribal children and needy families with nutritious food and educational support during and after the pandemic. Nirman, our project partner, has been distributing essential commodities to 110 destitute families of the Pardhi community in villages in Indapur block of Pune district. These essential items included wheat, rice, sugar, tea powder, moong dal, groundnuts, oil, salt, spices, soap, washing powder and toothpaste. We heard of the brave young woman Aadhila, who was opening a library for her community and who is on her way to become a nurse. We witnessed Rohan, a young man from the nomadic Dombari tribe of dancers and athletes, becoming a chairmen in the Youth Council (Bal Panchayat). Veer, a small eight years old boy, was seen happily playing with his friends from the village again after he witnessed a lot of hardship in his family. The school teacher reported that for the first time, Veer has been attending regular classes without skipping school. Plenty more activities and successes of the project could be mentioned.
Every contribution made a change for the life of a child and its family. We thank you for your generosity.
