At SEED Madagascar we are excited to introduce you to one of our upcoming school Projects. Construction at Karinoro Primary School will start later in the year bringing real change to the students and teachers who need it most. Thanks to your support, 203 children will soon have a safer, more comfortable place to learn that can lead them up for a brighter future.
One of the biggest improvements for the school will be the construction of a brand-new, fully equipped three-classroom school building as well as the much-needed repairs to the existing structure. With more space, each grade will finally have its own dedicated classroom, giving students more time with their teachers and a better learning environment. Moreover, the new school buildings are also being designed to withstand cyclones, keeping students safe during extreme weather.
Aside from the infrastructure progress, SEED will also roll out a WASH education program, teaching students and teachers essential skills in hygiene, water treatment, and sanitation maintenance. By using a train-the-trainer approach, we’re ensuring that these lessons will continue to benefit the community long after the project is complete. Moreover, SEED is also partnering with Tatirano Social Enterprise which will install a 10,000-litre rainwater harvesting system. This system will provide clean drinking water for both students and staff while also supplying water to the school’s new hygiene facilities.
In line with SEED’s commitment to sustainability, we’re also helping the community set up a tree planting site that will offset the project’s carbon emissions. This effort reflects our broader vision, combining education, health, and environmental responsibility to create lasting change.
As the project keeps progressing, we’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our donors. Thank you for believing in the power of education and community-driven transformation. With your help, Karinoro Primary School is on its way to becoming a beacon of learning and opportunity for generations to come.
