The situation of people displaced from their homes by gang violence remains complicated. But thanks to the support we received from GlobalGiving, we were able to provide them with 2,000 gallons of water for everyday use. This provides them with water for bathing, washing their clothes and the space where they have been keeping themselves busy.
Action et Transformation hopes that the presentation of this small but significant step towards meeting basic needs will motivate other donors to consider the plight of these displaced people. There are eight hundred (800) families (around 3,200 people) crammed into cramped rooms and under the galleries of the hall of the Pierre Labytrie school in Delmas 31.
We would like to thank these two (2) donors, one with a gift card and the other with a donation of around sixty dollars. To the pictures shown during the visits and during the pouring of water at the tank where they are staying. Dear donors, you will understand the gigantic effect of your actions. We hope that in the next report we will have many more achievements to present in terms of the support we could have given to these displaced victims of gang violence.
