A Program Update

By Lymaris Marrero-Deya | Grant Writer Technician

Dear GlobalGiving Donors,

I hope this message finds you in great spirits. As we reflect on the past quarter, I want to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of our participants. Your generosity makes a profound difference in their lives, enabling us to create meaningful experiences and opportunities.

This past quarter has been filled with remarkable moments. We had the joy of celebrating a quinceañero for one of our participants, a milestone that brought smiles and laughter to our home. Additionally, I am proud to share that three of our young women achieved honor roll status at their schools, showcasing their hard work and commitment to their education.

In our continuous efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of our girls, we installed security cameras around our facility, providing a sense of security for everyone. We also made significant improvements to the roof of the girls' playroom, creating a safe and enjoyable environment where they can learn and play freely. Furthermore, we optimized our internet system, enhancing connectivity and access to vital online resources.

Understanding the importance of safety, our staff participated in training for first aid and protective measures, ensuring that they are well-equipped to care for our girls. We also took the initiative to update our emergency response plan, enhancing our preparedness for any potential situations.

To enrich the lives of our participants, we increased recreational activities by hiring a dedicated recreational leader. This has allowed for more engaging and enjoyable experiences, fostering a sense of community and fun among the girls. On International Women’s Day, we proudly held workshops aimed at promoting self-worth and empowerment, reinforcing the belief that each girl is valuable and capable.

Just last weekend, the girls had the opportunity to participate in a retreat focused on strengthening their spiritual well-being and values. It was a heartwarming experience that deepened their connection with themselves and each other.

Thank you once again for your invaluable support. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of these young women, helping them grow into confident and empowered individuals.
