On May 25, I'm going to Skardu pakistan which is suffering from water scarcity and building 10 water wells by hand with my team and a group of friends and volunteers and professionals to give 2,000 families access to water. We are ensuring solar panels are built in as there is no electricity in the chosen areas. The water well locations have been carefully selected to get water for 25 years. My family is donating one in my father's name. Would you like to donate one? It is USD 3171-
The lack of sustainable water infrastructure exacerbates health risks, reduces school attendance, and limits economic productivity. Furthermore, traditional water extraction methods depend heavily on electricity or diesel, which are either unavailable or unaffordable in many areas. In the face of growing water scarcity, climate change, and energy insecurity, there is an urgent need for a reliable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective solution to provide continuous access to clean drinking water.
These four borehole water wells will effectively address the issue of access to clean and safe drinking water in Skardu, providing a sustainable and reliable solution for the local communities.
Each borehole water well will provide clean water to over 2,000 people, benefiting a total of 8,000 individuals over a 25-year period. Additionally, the project is designed to have negligible maintenance costs, ensuring long-term sustainability and affordability.
