Hi There Lovely Supporters!
Isn't it crazy how fast this year is going! Sadly things are rather tough for us here in South Africa, Government schools pre-covid was struggling and now it seems more funding has gone missing since the lockdowns that the school if possible are even worse!
Under resourced schools have been forced to move government education to part time which means children are left on the streets for many more hours each day and with parents working a full day there is nobody to watch over our children apart from those gang leaders that take them in and groom them, it's a scary fact and over the passed 3 months as funding has decreased we only were able to fund 11 days of food for the children and our volunteers played football and helped with some homework but resources are sadly limited for us.
We have been reaching out to local shops and supermarkets as well as other networks to try and bring in some food donations so we can feed the children and we managed to feed them another 6 days over the past 90.
We really do value your support and although times are hard we are not giving up and we hope that more children will stay with our project that join a gang.
Photo above is a day that Action Change managed to get donations from a local business man to fund hot dogs and drinks for all 200 children on Nelson Mandela day, for most the only meal thay had for the weekend ahead - thank you so much for your support!
Thank You,
Nita
