It has been over a year since the earthquake and community groups like the Organization of Farmers from Besi and Klona (OPBK) have been working hard to recover. The ox-plow service has allowed farmers in the community to more effectively plant and harvest their crops. Increasing food productivity was a critical priority following the earthquake – most household sizes in rural Haiti doubled after earthquake survivors fled Port-au-Prince to live with family and friends. Growing more food and increasing opportunities for income was an essential way to provide for these earthquake survivors.

An Earthquake Survivor's Story.
Members of OPBK and farmers throughout the Haiti are currently preparing for the upcoming planting season. They need continued training in sustainable agriculture methods and hope to reach even more farmers by expanding their ox-plow service capabilities. Your support in helping farmers achieve bountiful harvests and reliable incomes is very much appreciated!
