By Edwin Beyan | Friends of Liberia-Liberia Health Team Leader
The Liberian Health Team has completed their 2023 workshops. The goal was to enhance competencies and evidence-based theoretical and clinical performances of faculty, nurses, and midwives. Everything was completed without problems. The 2023 workshops had twenty-two faculty from twenty-one schools and twenty-six clinicians from twenty-six hospitals in attendance.
Plans are now underway to conduct the follow-up assessments with all the attendees. These assessments make up the basic planning and foundation for our 2024 workshops. The input from our attendees is important in guiding our work.
The Liberian Health Team is all volunteer and have full-time employment in various locations in Liberia, so it is not easy to gather for in-person meetings. Most of our work is done over WhatsApp and Zoom with our partners. Assignments are being made now and assessments will be completed by the end of August 2023. The next round of workshops will be finalized by October 1st with a complete budget submitted to Friends of Liberia by that date. Thank you to all our donor friends at Friends of Liberia and GlobalGiving.
