Your support in 2020 allowed OSCAR Foundation to swiftly aid vulnerable communities during the pandemic's upheaval. Believing in our mission, you empowered us to turn Young Leaders into beacons of hope. Your unwavering backing made the rapid mobilization for food and hygiene aid possible.

In 2021's challenging months, your continued assistance amplified our efforts. Over 8000 kits distributed, over 100,000 kg of supplies donated, offering relief and hope. Your compassion shone through, seen in sanitary pad distribution and providing warmth through meals and blankets. Thank you for standing with us as we navigated these difficult times.

Soham, a 10-year-old boy from Dharavi, Mumbai, lives with his single mother. Recently, Soham's father passed away, leaving his mother with the sole responsibility of caring for their family. Despite the challenges they face, Soham attends the 5th grade at Mother Teresa Charitable Trust School and has been actively participating in OSCAR's football and life skills sessions for the past two years.

Initially, Soham was reserved and extremely shy when he first joined the sessions. However, over time, football became a medium for him to express himself confidently and freely. The life skills sessions on communication skills have also helped him develop and form bonds with his peers, both on and off the field. Soham has also shown improvement in his football skills and is now a skilled defender.

Even though Soham is too young to fully comprehend the specific circumstances at home, he is aware of the hard work his mother puts in to enroll him in school and OSCAR sessions. Soham has a younger brother who currently does not live with them as there is no one to care for him while their mother goes to work at a handcrafted jewelry factory. Soham's mother dreams of bringing his brother home as soon as possible so that they can all live together as a family. However, their difficult financial situation has made it challenging for her to pay for Soham's school and tuition fees.

Fortunately, OSCAR has been providing support to Soham and his mother by covering their ration, tuition, and school fees. Soham's mother is immensely grateful for this assistance, as it has relieved the burden of financial strain and has also provided her with guidance and support from Soham's coaches, especially during home visits. She is hopeful that with the continued help of OSCAR, she will be able to provide better opportunities for Soham, helping him grow into a talented and confident young man. The distribution of ration by OSCAR has been a crucial support for Soham and his mother, ensuring that they have access to basic necessities while they navigate through their challenging circumstances.
