See how your support is helping Leonardo!

Leo enjoys therapies!
Leo enjoys therapies!

Dear Donor,

Everyday our little patients come to receive their therapies and make us really happy to know that each therapy means a new step towards a new life. The shy gazes become gradually into smiles and we start to hearing the halls and our small yard full of their voices and laughs. Every challenge that they overcome in his rehabilitation means an indescribable joy to everyone here. Donating to ANIQUEM not only means giving a smile to one of our children, it also means forming part of our big family.

With every donation we can finance the treatment for one of our kids that have suffered from severe burns. Their integral rehabilitation includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, compressive garments, psychological treatments and the reintegration into the society.

Today we want to thank you so much for your support to finance the rehabilitation of 7 burned children in Peru. One of the children you are supporting is Leonardo and he asked me to introduce himself: "Hola my name is Leonardo but I like being called Leo. I used to live in Piura (a department in northern Perú) with my parents but after my burn accident we came to live here in Lima with mom and granny in a rented house. I really like go to school but what I love most is coming here because I enjoy so much painting and playing with my friends in the garden, and I always feel happy when mommy says that today is an occupational therapy day!"

Leo is an smart and kind-hearted kid. He is always in a good mood with everybody, he really likes came to take his therapies because he understands that it will really help him. is mother cares much for his treatment. And barely came to Lima began working as a saleswoman, but her pay can only cover their basic needs. However this did not mean neglecting his treatments. She is always concerned about therapies and cares for him and follows every indication. She is really involved into the rehabilitation and our little brave kid knows it, so everybody here is happy about this.

Thank you so much for your invaluable support, helping Leo and many other children with severe burns in Peru!

If you have any questions concerning our work or if you would like to visit our rehabilitation center to see our work yourself, just let us know!

We send you our best wishes and hope you have a great day!

The whole team of ANIQUEM.
