Dear Supporters,
We are very pleased to bring you news of a new partnership that is set to give our scholarship program a really good boost! We have recently forged a new and exciting partnership with The British Council.
In partnership with The British Council, we have successfully hosted our first Intercultural Fluency Course (IFC) in Cape Town, South Africa with a group of participants from all over the world, including the UK, South Africa and the USA.
The IFC is a new program that GVI and The British Council are starting together and it is an opportunity for participants to learn about the way we communicate and how communication is very different for different people.
The British Council, drawing on over 80 years of experience in cultural relations have trained 18 specialists and developed the IFC to equip young people with the understanding and techniques needed to communicate more effectively across cultural and geographical boundaries.
Here at The GVI Trust, we recognise the need and importance for our scholars to be able to communicate successfully in different cultural settings and in a multi-cultural environment. This is a hugely advantageous 21st-century skill and we are really excited to be able to offer these kinds of skills to all of our future scholars.
We look forward to bringing you news on how this partnership progresses.
With Gratitude,
The GVI Trust
