Thanks to contributions from donors to USA for IOM, we are able to continue our commitment to IOM’s Global Assistance Fund, an emergency fund that offers personalized immediate protection and sustainable direct assistance to migrants in vulnerable circumstances across the globe.

The renewed commitment was signed at the IOM Office in Washington, D.C. by Mr. Yitna Getachew, Head of Protection Division where GAF sits, together with Maria Moreno, CEO of USA for IOM.

The beneficiaries will be migrants subject to or at risk of violence, exploitation, and abuse; victims of trafficking; vulnerable migrant children; migrants in extreme psychological and physical distress with identified protection concerns; stranded and/or smuggled migrants who require return assistance.
