Despite ongoing efforts, Palestinian families in Jerusalem’s Old City continue to face entrenched poverty and systemic policies of dispossession. These pressures threaten not only their daily lives but also their connection to the land they call home.
In the neighborhood of Bab Hutta, many children still lack access to early education due to high costs, unstable conditions, and a deliberate absence of supportive infrastructure. Without intervention, these children face emotional trauma, developmental delays, and a growing sense of isolation.
Our Jerusalem Preschool Project remains a vital lifeline. By providing free, high-quality early education and psychosocial support, we are helping children heal, grow, and build resilience. The preschool has become a sanctuary for learning and stability, offering a rare space where children can safely develop emotionally, cognitively, and socially.
While the challenges persist in 2025, our unwavering commitment endures.
