Just Be A Child – Report for GlobalGiving on 7^th December 2021.

The construction of our 7^th library in Msambweni, Kenya was done in a record time - and apart from the container falling on its side when dragged from the lorry - there were no other nasty surprises or obstacles to overcome.

Covid-19 continues to dictate how we carry out our projects, but despite the number and/or location restrictions we have:

Organised two Multi-Activity Days for 40 girls and 40 boys from five library locations;
Received 217 stories for our Young Writer Competition;
Provided 548 children with access to Arts & Crafts activities once per week;
Trained 90 volunteers;
Donated over 3,000 books to schools via Kenyan Rotary clubs and our application process; and
Set up two libraries on behalf of our two partners;
Established the location for our next Library and Learning Centre to go to Kenya in 2022.

So, overall, a pretty successful year!
