In recent months, our efforts have focused on supporting the most vulnerable among refugees, such as unaccompanied children, children raised in large families and those raised by a single parent.
At the start of the year, wereceived four children from Afghanistan and formed a new group for them. Our objective is to facilitate their linguistic development so that they can enroll at school next year. We provided each child with our ABC First Steps textbook and Words in Pictures dictionary.
We are pleased to inform you that we have continued to provide Bulgarian lessons for children who are unaccompanied minors. Furthermore, we initiated a social skills workshop for them. A range of creative activities are scheduled weekly, with a focus on developing fundamental communication skills.
Seventh-grade students are also engaged in preparations for the end-of-year exams. For refugee children learning Bulgarian as a foreign language, these exams present a significant challenge. Passing them successfully will provide children with enhanced opportunities for learning and development.
