Greetings and Happy Holidays
2023 has been a challenging yet productive year. Months back it was necessary to vacate our space where Ojala-Ninos started over 10 years ago. Despite the progress we have made on our lot with the construction of our building, we needed a temporary site while we work to complete the Ojala-Ninos Community Center in San Miguel Viejo, Guanajuato Mexico. We are so grateful for the progress we've made thanks to your donations and continued support in our goal!
Meanwhile the children, (and mothers) continue to participate and learn in numerous classes, workshops and activities. Academic support, Art, Sports, Sewing, English, youth counseling to name a few.
Mexico will be celebrating the traditional posadas starting next week and in January, 3 Kings day which is a big day for the kids. The space we are fortunate enough to rent is, small the impact we have on the community is Big! On behalf of all the children and their families as well as volunteers and staff at Ojala-Ninos we wish you a safe, happy, healthy holiday!
Sincerely
Betty Lopez
