ALL WITH LEON:
WE PROMOTE LITERARY CULTURE
Since March we have been addressing the importance of education, socio-emotional rights and skills and care for the environment, fundamental pillars with which Fundación León works.
Different literary workshops were implemented in three schools: Amado Juri, Justiniano Frias and N° 148 de Orán. A total of 170 children between the ages of 7 and 11 years old were reached. With these activities the following skills were fostered:
READING COMPREHENSION
Analysis and reflection of literary texts. Promotion of critical thinking
CREATIVE WRITING
The aim was to use games and ‘fun’ proposals to stimulate writing and imagination so that they could express their ideas.
ORAL EXPRESSION
Reading aloud and oral presentations of work written by the children themselves. We encourage and provide tools for the expression of their ideas and opinions.
SOCIAL SKILLS
Teamwork, individual and peer work that enable cooperation, solidarity and empathy within the classroom.
We address the importance of self-esteem, self-knowledge and self-acceptance.
CONTRIBUTIONS OF NEUROSCIENCE
To know our brain in order to plan and propose activities according to the needs and tastes of the children.
