During the summer, some of our teenagers had their first experiences working outside Malaika to preview what it will be like to be independent once they finish school.
Even those who wanted to continue studying had to work hard to find employment during July and August, and interesting initiatives were born: some of them gave repetitions another family home, and others have engaged with an NGO that works in schools to improve hygiene; others have taken temporary jobs in near companies, as well as large and minor maintenance work at Malaika home and in the garden.
And now, in October, the great day for Graduation at Form 4 has arrived! In the picture, you can see the first two of our five graduating kids in black ties. They both arrived at Malaika when they were just little children, and today they are graduates!
One guy would like to become a tour guide and share his knowledge of his country with all. The other guy, on the other hand, would like to keep studying in the hospitality sector.
Thank you and all Malaika's supporters for making these dreams possible!
