What an amazing ride! After several months of preparation in making an application to GlobalGiving, Being initially accepted and then submitting a project for approval. That was approved and then the project page had to be develped and approved. We got it completed just before the August deadline. Then the launch of the campaign on September 11 and all the communications to a wide variety of possible donors. It was indeed a wild ride, but so worth.it.
Thanks to all of you we made our initial goal of raising $5000 from 40 distinct indivuals. That was the requirement set by GlobalGiving to become a permanant partner. We did it. As of today we are at $5350 from 48 donors. We are hopeful of raising our total goal of $7000 to complete the medical facility in Uganda.
Thank you, thank you. I will keep you updated as a team travels to Uganda in Januray to do the actual construction.
